  • chicken buses: colorful, repurposed school buses are a popular and cheap transportation through Guatemala

  • tuktuks: small, three-wheeled vehicles carry two to three passengers within cities or to the nearby areas

  • main season: November - April -> this is the best time to travel to Guatemala with temperatures from 20 degrees and higher and few rains

  • rainy season: May - October -> during the rainy season there are fewer tourists due to the weather
